Frances was born in 1764 in Huddersfield and her christening took place on March 7th, 1764 at St. Peter (Huddersfield).1  Frances' father was Matthew (Matt) Blackburn and her mother was Mary Sykes. She had a brother and a sister, named John and Mary.  She was the second oldest of the three children.
