Arthur was born on August 2nd, 1908 in Birkenhead.¹

  Arthur was the youngest of the three brothers, all born in Birkenhead.

Arthur's father was Harry Bayley and his mother was Ellen (Nell) Louise Brown. His paternal grandparents were Augustus Henry Bayley and Mary Bunnell; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Brown and Mary Ann Postans. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Tom, Gus, Daisy and Helen. He was the youngest of the five children. He died due to a respiratory problem and/or pneumonia at the age of 64 on December 19th, 1972 in Birkenhead. His burial was at the Bebington Cemetery.²³
