למך was born in 0874. למך's father was מתושלח and his mother was Edna bint Azrial. His paternal grandparents were חנוך and Edni bint Danel; his maternal grandparents were Azrail ben Jared ben Maleleel and Baraka. He was the oldest of three children. He had two brothers named אליקים and Rake'el ben. He died, at the age of 777, in 1651.
