Granville, known as Ephram, was born on August 31st, 1841. Ephram's father was Samuel Wyatt and his mother was Louisa Butcher. His paternal grandparents were Major John Wyatt and Elizabeth Luddington; his maternal grandparents were Valentine Jefferson Butcher and Maryann Margaret Teter. He had five brothers and four sisters, named William, John, Charles, Albert, Major, Julia, Luverna, Eliza and Lucinda. He died at the age of 65 on March 9th, 1907.

- Note by Phyllis (Dye) Slater: Grandville is buried at Good Hope Cemetery, Reedy WV. He was the son of Samuel Wyatt and Louisa Butcher Wyatt.

Wyatt Dye was raised by her grandma Wyatt, (Louisa Butcher Wyatt) on Cain's run.....Grandma Margaret never went to school and could not read or write but she raised a wonderful family....A great mother and had to be a hard worker, especially in those days...I remember a story that they told about the house burning down and they lived in the barn for a year until they could build it back. I believe it was Asa who was born in the barn... Not sure it was Asa, but believe I am correct.
