 Daniel Dye


Daniel was born in August 1776.
• Birth Notes

  Born August 1776, Bordentown, New Jersey and died in1852 in Morrow County, Ohio. He appears to have lived in Sewickley, Pennsylvania (where Ezekiel had a sawmill?). There is a Sewickley Township in Westmoreland County (red dot on the map below) and Sewickley Creek runs through the township.
  
  This suggests that Daniel moved to Prince William County, Virginia with his parents Enoch and Rebecca. Around 179? they moved to Pennsylvania. At a later date he and his wife (and children?) moved to Troy Township, Morrow County, Ohio. His sister Mary Dye had moved to Richland County, Ohio by 1844.
  
  Daniel married Jane McIntyre in 1796 in Washington County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of William McIntyre and Margaret Harris. They had 15 children.
He died at the age of 76 in 1852.

  "I Daniel Dye of the Township of Troy in the County of Morrow and State of Ohio, Being of weak and infirm in body and well advanced in years but of sound and disposing mind and memory do hereby make ordain and publish this my last will and Testament hereby revoking and annulling all former will or wills by me at any time heretofore made of published.
  Item 1st. It is my will and hereby direct that my body be burined in a plain decent manner with two suitables stones in their natural state set one at the head and the other at the foot of my grave.
  
  Item 2nd. I hereby direct that my funeral expenses and Just debts be paid out of the proceeds of the sale of my personal property which shall be sold as soon as convenient after my decease, but of the proceeds of the sale of my personal property should be be sufficient to pay my debts then the deficiency to be made up out of the sproceeds of the sale of my Real Estate.
  
  Item 3rd. I will and bequeath to my beloved Wife all the Beads (beds) and a Bead Clothing and all the housefold and Kitchen furniture exclusively for her own us and the same prevelige in this Dwelling house for the term of one year ......

 William Dye


William was born on October 6th, 1778.


 Rebecca Dye


Rebecca was born on May 20th, 1780.  He died at the age of 65 in March 1846.


 Mary Dye


Mary was born on December 10th, 1781.
• Birth Notes

  Born December 10, 1781 in Washington County, Pennsylvania and died in 1844 in Richland County, Ohio. She married Samuel Carrothers in 1802 in Washington County, Pennsylvania.
She died at the age of 63 in 1844.


 Susannah Dye


Susannah was born on May 6th, 1783.
• Birth Notes

  She married James Carrothers, half-brother of Samuel Carrothers who married her sister Mary.
  
  In a biographical sketch, "Hardesty's History" provides the following information about James and Susannah.
  
  "In 1814, James and Susannah pruchased a tract of land in Monroe County, Ohio, one mile West of Woodsfield, and James moved his family to Woodsfield until he could build a log cabin on his land. Woodsfield was settled in 1812, and at the time Susannah and James lived there, there were all of eighteen houses in the town; six were hewed log houses and the rest were log cabins.
  
  "James planted an orchard in the woods and then built his log house. When Susannah and James moved into their new home, the forest trees were standing within a few feet of the door, and wolves howled during the night. Long after this, James would rise in the morning to find his sheep all torn and bleeding, damage caused by the wolves."
  
  
  
She died at the age of 70 in 1853.


 Sarah Dye


Sarah was born on December 11th, 1784.


 Enoch Dye II


Enoch was born on March 19th, 1786.
• Birth Notes

  Enoch Dye II was born on March 19, 1786 and died on May 28, 1821. He was married in 1804 to Mary Polly McIntyre (born in 1783 in Hagerstown, Maryland and died in October 1868 at Washington, Pennsylvania). Enoch Dey II was killed by the fall of a tree when quite young (35) leaving his widow with 8 young children.
He died at the age of 35 on May 28th, 1821.

Elizabeth was born on January 9th, 1789.  She died at the age of 83 in 1872.


 Isaac Dye


Isaac was born on May 24th, 1793.  He died at the age of 46 in 1839.

Whilhemina was born on December 14th, 1795.
