• General Notes
  • Well, I have to say that my best time in the snow, was this past December.   My Husband and I took our children up to Mammoth for 8 days.   When we first got their, a terrible storm had just hit.   We were stuck indoors for two days of our trip.   Three feet of snow later, we were able to go outside and have a ball with the kids.   They have never seen snow, except for my 10 year old(only once before)   They were so excited and amazed at it all.   I of course, do not like the cold weather at all.   I guess because the kids had such a great time, I had a great time too.   Every morning, we would go out to the car and have it covered to the tires with snow... My oldest daughter took snow board lessons and did very well.   My children did not want to go home when the time came.   My three year old son Nicholas asked if we could take the snow with us, if we brought it back later...   He also wanted to take the fireplace and all the heaters.....We built snowmen, and rode on sledes, and just had a wonderful time.   I will never forget that trip.   We all cried when it was time to go home.   Do I want to live in the snow?   NO WAY....I enjoy the 100 degress heat in the summer. Once a year I can handle it.
    My worst time in the snow, is   about four years ago.   My husband   and I went up to Lake Tahoe for alittle over a week with his family.   Everyone knew how to ski, except for me..So, I decided to take lessons, even though it was against my better judgement.   I was awful at it.   I kept falling down and falling down and falling down.   I was scared to death.   I had an awful instructor who tried to teach about thirty of us all by himself.   I finally gave up and pretty much slid down the mountain that we had already climmed up earlier.   It took me about one and a half hours to finally get down.   I had to hear alot of stuff from his family.   They kept pushing me the whole trip to try to ski again.   I found myself sitting alone half the time, while everyone was out skiing.   It was awful. Just think how much pressure I was in, this was the time when I was bearly getting to know my husbands family. I told my husband   that I will never ski again.  
    Well, what can I say, snow and cold are great once a year...Otherwise I love the heat....
