Roland   was born on June 4th, 1932.  Roland  's father was Julius Dana and his mother was Felicitta Escaig.  His paternal grandfather was Guiseppe Don Petro D'Anna and his paternal grandmother is Giovanna; his maternal grandparents were Escaig and Randazzo. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Arthur, Joseph, Robert  , Julius, Richard, Amelia, Eleanor, Viola   and Gloria.  He is the youngest of the ten children.
