    I decided to be Betsey Homemaker, and make everything from scratch one Thanksgiving.   Especially my Dad was going to be there, and Aunt Nanny, and Aunt Teddy! Man, the heat was on.   Also a dear couple, that were close to 90 years old were going to be quests.   I went to the pumpkin farm, and picked the prettest pumpkins, brought them home.   I cleaned them out and cooked the pumpkin, and added all that you are suppose to add.   I made my crust, by scratch! and I didn't even drip on the crust, when pouring the pumkin in....These pies came out soooooo beautiful, everyone commented on them and my husband even took pictures, they were soooo beautiful, anyway after   dinner I prouldly brought desert to the table, everyone commented.   Then my friend took the first bite, and said this pie is wonderful, and I smiled proudly.   Then my sister, said " this pie is great"!   Then my son Bobby took his 1st bite, and said, Yuck whats wrong with this pie??????   I was so taken back that I took a bite, along with everyone else and we all spit it out!!!   I HAD FORGET THE SUGAR!!!!!!!!!   Needless to say, thats the last pie I ever made.   My friend and my sister, didn't want to hurt my feelings, so they just ate it.   I will say, the pies were saved, Aunt Nanny took both of them home (she was such a fabulas cook, and baker) she made a cake with my two pies, I did'nt get to eat any of it, but everyone said it was the best cake she ever made.
