Antonius was born on January 17th, 1596 in Heusden and his baptism.1   His godfather was Nicolas Brouwers.  Antonius' father was Bartholomeus Gaethofs and his mother was Maria Beelen. He had three brothers and a sister, named Bartholomeus, Barthus, Cornelius and Catharina.  He was the second youngest of the five children.  He died at the age of 59 on February 4th, 1655 in Heusden.2

‌Antonius and Elisabeth were married in a religious ceremony on April 17th, 1622 in Heusden witnessed by Hubertus Gaethofs - Petrus Briers - Joannes Claes.  They had six sons and four daughters, named Bartholomeus, Petrus, Jacob, Mathias, Bartholomy, Antonius, Margareta, Maria, Margareta and Maria.  Margareta and Maria were twins.
