Anna was born on February 17th, 1653 in Heusden Zolder.1   Anna's father was Petrus Gaethofs and her mother was Maria Ceunis (Theunis).  Her paternal grandparents were Antonius Gaethofs and Elisabeth Aerts. She had a brother and a sister, named Bartholomeus and Elisabeth.  She was the second oldest of the three children.

‌Anna and Jacob were married in a religious ceremony on November 29th, 1674 in Heusden Zolder.1   They had two sons and six daughters, named Pierre, Jean-Michel, Maria, Maria, Margarita, Anne, Elisabeth and Jeanne.
