Petrus Joannes Gaethofs

Petrus Joannes was born on May 24th, 1840 in Lummen.¹ Petrus Joannes' father was Georgius Gaethofs and his mother was Marie Christine Oyen. His paternal grandparents were Jean Antoinne (Joannes Antonius) Gaethofs and Anne Marie Moors; his maternal grandparents were Jean Oyen and Marie Lemmens. He had a brother and five sisters, named Jean Francois, Angelina, Julia, Maria Carolina, Maria Rosalia and Maria Francisca. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He died at just 19 days old on June 12th, 1840 in Lummen.¹
