Maria-Theresia was born in 1789 and her baptism took place on January 8th, 1789 in Lummen.1   Maria-Theresia's father was Petrus (Pierre) Gaethofs and her mother was Maria Schaenen (Schraenen).  Her paternal grandparents were Joannes Gaethofs and Maria Claes.  She had three brothers and six sisters, named Charles, Paulus, Bruno, Maria Christina, Maria Catharina, Elisabeth, Anne Elisabeth, Anna Catharina and Anna Maria.  She was the youngest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 2 on September 28th, 1791.1
