Joseph Egide Elens

Joseph was born on October 6th, 1842 in Beringen and his baptism took place there on October 7th, 1842.¹ Joseph's father was Clément Pierre Paul Joseph Elens and his mother was Jeanne Colette Wouters. His paternal grandparents were Jean François Elens and Marie-Catherine-Madeleine Delonneux. He had four brothers and a sister, named Marie-Ferdinand-Emile, Armand Joseph Marie Jean , Cyrille Julianus Maria, Jules Ludovicus and Irène. He was the fourth oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 69 on June 5th, 1912 in Diest.¹
