Catharina was born on August 4th, 1657 in Heusden Zolder.1   Catharina's father was Godefridus Bijnens and her mother was Catherina Gathofs.  Her maternal grandparents were Cornelius Gaethofs and Elisabeth Daniels. She had two brothers and a sister, named Joris, Corneel and Elisabeth.  She was the oldest of the four children.
