Alfons was born on January 29th, 1895 in Heusden.¹ Alfons' father was Ludovicus Aerts and his mother was Maria Henrica Vandebroek. His paternal grandparents were Petrus Aerts and Ludovica Vermeynen; his maternal grandparents were Livinus Vandebroek and Maria Rosalia Snijers. He was an only child. He died at the age of 72 on August 25th, 1967 in Houthalen.²
