Gerard Poels 
Gerard was born on April 22nd, 1816 in Lummen. Gerard's father was Henricus Poels and his mother was Marie Catharina Gaethofs. His maternal grandparents were Joannes Michael Gaethofs and Anna Catharina Put. He had five brothers and a sister, named Jean Michel, Jean Antonius, Arnoldus, Casimir, Ferdinand and Marie Agnes. He was the youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 63 on February 9th, 1880 in Lummen.-
