Pierre was born on February 1st, 1694 in Heusden Zolder.1   Pierre's father was Joannes Claes and his mother was Anna Gaethofs.  His maternal grandparents were Petrus Gaethofs and Maria Ceunis (Theunis). He had a brother and six sisters, named Jean-Michel, Maria, Maria, Margarita, Anne, Elisabeth and Jeanne.1
