Alfons was born on January 29th, 1895 in Heusden.1   Alfons' father was Ludovicus Aerts and his mother was Maria Henrica Vandebroek.  His paternal grandparents were Petrus Aerts and Ludovica Vermeynen; his maternal grandparents were Livinus Vandebroek and Maria Rosalia Snijers.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 72 on August 25th, 1967 in houthalen.2

‌Alfons and Octavie were married in a civil ceremony on May 27th, 1922 in Beringen.  They had three sons and three daughters, named Cyrille, Louis, Pol, Yvonne, Maja and Paula.
