John Asbill

John was born in 1818. John's father was Joseph Asbell and his mother was Mary Paulina or Polly Harp. His paternal grandfather was William Asbell and his paternal grandmother is Elizabeth Moore. He had six brothers and eight sisters, named James, William, Ross I., Levi, Ancil D., Wilson D., Lydia, Ann, Elizabeth, Surrilda, Nancy, Louisa, Lucinda R. and Charlotte. He was the oldest of the fifteen children. He had four half-brothers and two half-sisters, named William, David Warren, John, Joseph, Nancy and Sarah Ann. He died at the age of 75 in 1893.
