    research has found Ingram, Mallory and Slingsby recor ds eliminating their families as ancestors of Richar
    maintain our information for the rich Slingsby and Mal lory history and because both families have other lin
    the Chesebro' family. And, there is always the possib ility that this Ingram family could be related in some way.

    Richard’s paternity of William and Jarrett is proved by records cited in John Benjamin Nichols, “Notes on Richard Ingraham of Rehoboth, Massachusetts, 1643,” American Genealogist 21 (1944/5): 190-1, as well as R. L. Bowen, “Notes: William Ingraham,” 60. Because this was the only complete Ingraham family in Rehoboth at that date, this is also surmised to be the family to which Elizabeth and Joanna belonged.
