James, known as Jim, was born on November 15th, 1932.  Jim's father was Don Horton and his mother was Marsha Horton.  His paternal grandparents were Pa Horton and Ma Horton. He had a brother and two sisters, named Brody, Eileen and Allie.  He is the second oldest of the four children.
