John and Mary were married on June 4th, 1847.  They had six sons and a daughter, named Thomas, John, Robert, George, David, William and Jane.

Male John Young
John was born in 1820. He died at the age of 50 on October 21st, 1870 in Wallyford.1 

Female Mary Wilson
Mary was born on March 2nd, 1824. She died  due to smallpox at the age of 47 on January 7th, 1872 in Newbattle.2

Male Thomas Young
Thomas was born in 1848.

Female Jane Young
Jane was born in 1850.

Male John Young
John was born in 1852.

Male Robert Young
Robert was born in 1854. He died  due to phthisis pulmonalis at the age of 54 on September 28th, 1908 in Hill of Beath.3 

Male George Young
George was born in 1856.

Male David Young
David was born in 1858.

Male William Young
William was born in 1860.
