Catherine was born about 1761 in Heathersett, Norfolk, England. Catherine's father was Henry Girdlestone and her mother was Margaret Cooper. Her paternal grandparents were John Girdlestone and Sarah Ford. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Henry John, Thomas, Thomas, Margaret and Ann. She was the second youngest of the six children. She died on April 21st, 1827 in Kelling, Norfolk, England.-
