Christina McKenzie was born on October 20th, 1857 in Perth, Perthshire, Scotland . Christina McKenzie's father was David Geekie and her mother was Elizabeth Robertson. Her paternal grandparents were David Geekie and Jane Cooper; her maternal grandparents were Andrew Robertson and Christina McKenzie. She had a brother and three sisters, named Arthur, Andrew R, Jane C and Annie R. She was the oldest of the five children.
