Marion Beath 
Marion was born in 1756 in Leslie, Fife, Scotland. Marion's father was George Beath and her mother was Susannah Ireland. Her paternal grandparents were William Beath (of Pitgorne) and Marion Ireland; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Ireland and Margaret Ingles. She had four brothers and four sisters, named William, Thomas, George, Simon, Margaret, Susannah Ireland, Katharine and Isabel. She was the fifth oldest of the nine children.-
