Thomas Arbuthnott 
Thomas was born about 1707 in Balglassie, Kincardineshire, Scotland. Thomas' father was Hon. John Arbuthnott and his mother was Margaret Falconer . His paternal grandparents were Sir Robert Arbuthnott (2nd Viscount of Arbuthnott, 2nd Lord Inverbervie) and Catherine Gordon; his maternal grandparents were Sir James Falconer of Pheldo and Elizabeth Trent. He had two brothers and nine sisters, named James, John, Elizabeth, Margaret, Jean, Anne, Katharine, Mary, Thomas, Jean and Catherine. He was the sixth youngest of the twelve children. He died in 1767.-
