John was born on January 12th, 1814 in Stoystown, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, USA.1   He died at the age of 85 on October 21st, 1899 in Modena, Mercer County, Missouri, USA.  He was buried at the Hamilton Cemetery, Mercer County, Missouri, USA.1 

John's family

John and Kate were married in a religious & civil ceremony on June 18th, 1836 in Turkeyfoot Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, USA.1   They had five sons and two daughters, named Oscar, Edward, Alfred, William, Bernard, Rosa and Catherine.
