William was born in 1797 in Mancetter, Warwickshire and his baptism took place there on July 16th, 1797.1   William's father was William SILVESTER and his mother was Mary PARKER. He had five sisters named Sarah, Elizabeth, Sarah, Jane and Harriet.  He was the second oldest of the six children.
