Martha was born in 1770 in Mancetter, Warwickshire and her baptism took place there on August 24th, 1770.1   Martha's father was Thomas PLANT and her mother was Sarah OUGHTON.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas PLANT and Martha <UNKNOWN>. She had a brother and two sisters, named William, Sarah and Sarah.  She was the oldest of the four children.
