Margaret was born in 1901 in Newport Pagnall, Buckinghamshire. Margaret's father was Thomas George MOSELEY and her mother was Elizabeth Phoebe MILLS.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas MOSELEY and Hannah BRITTEN. She had three brothers and a sister, named Arthur, William, Edward and Florence.  She was the youngest of the five children.
