John was born in 1780 in Mancetter, Warwickshire and his baptism took place there on November 26th, 1780.1   John's father was John HALL and his mother was Catherina WILLSON.  His paternal grandparents were Joseph HALL and Jane PROCTOR; his maternal grandparents were Thomas WILLSON and Elizabeth <UNKNOWN>. He had seven brothers and a sister, named Joseph, Thomas, Joseph, Thomas, William, Samuel, Samuel and Hannah.  He was the second oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 63 in 1843 in Atherstone, Warwickshire.1
