John Wells 
John was born on November 7th, 1841 in Calais, France. John's father was Thomas Wells and his mother was Sarah Creswell. His paternal grandparents were William Wells and Sarah Flower; his maternal grandparents were David Creswell and Rebecca Hilditch. He had five brothers and eight sisters, named Richard, Thomas, William, James, Frederick, Rebecca, Sarah, Emma, Anne, Elizabeth, Eliza, Alice and Fanny. He was the seventh oldest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 83 on January 14th, 1925 in Woodstock, Nz. He was buried on January 16th, 1925 in Hokitata, Nz.-
