James Henry Perring 
James was born in 1854 in Salcombe. James' father was John Perring and his mother was Jemima Gillen. His paternal grandparents were George Perring and Maria Collings. He had six brothers and five sisters, named John, George, William, Edwin, Albert, Charles, Mary, Eliza, Caroline, Eliza and Rosa. He was the third youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 90 in April 1944 in Torquay. He was buried on April 18th, 1944 in Torquay.-
