Margery was born in 1308.  Margery's father was Robert de Holland and her mother was Maud De La Zouche.  Her paternal grandparents were Sir Robert de Holland and Elizabeth de Samlesbury. She had five brothers and seven sisters, named Robert, Thomas, Otho, John, Alan, Joane, Maud, Elizabeth, Margaret, Jane, Eleanor and Elizabeth.  She was the second oldest of the thirteen children.
