Minnie was born in 1888.  Minnie's father was Frederick  Bishop and her mother was Clara Price.  Her paternal grandparents were James  Bishop and Jane Goodhew; her maternal grandparents were Henry Price and Rachel Reeve. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Frederick, George, Alfred, Emily, Clara, Kate and Ellen.  She was the fourth oldest of the eight children.
