Sydney was born on October 14th, 1891 in Baughurst, Hants.  Sydney's father was Thomas Sydney Baggs and his mother was Rose Taylor.  His paternal grandparents were James Baggs and Harriet Hunt; his maternal grandparents were Henry Taylor and <Unknown>. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Albert, Fred, Harriet, Rhoda, Gertrude, Mag and Florence (Flossie).  He died at the age of 74 on November 5th, 1965.  He was buried in Ship Lane Cemetry, Farnborough.1
