Gerrit, known as Gerrit, was born on June 22nd, 1991. Gerrit's father is Mr Pieter Daniel “Pieter” Burger and his mother is Mrs Edell Marie “Edell” De Wet (Burger). His maternal grandfather was Dr Hendrik “Hennie” De Wet and his maternal grandmother is Mada “Oumi” Knobel (Basson). He has a brother and a sister, named De Wet and Madia. He is the oldest of the three children.
