Jason was born in 1914.  Jason's father was Jason Albert Reeves and his mother is Elizabeth (Lizzie) Ann Covey.  His paternal grandparents were Charles  Armstrong  Reeves and Alcey Ann Ivey (Reeves). He had a brother and five sisters, named Charles, Lillian, Nettie, Connie, Nellie and Adie.  He is the third youngest of the seven children. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Jesse, Willie, John and Lillie.
