Peter was born on January 28th, 1887.  Peter's father was Bartholomew Lane and his mother was Francis Jones.  His paternal grandparents were Daniel Lane and Mary Hendrick. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Bartholomew, Ed, James, Willie, Michael, Margaret, Rosa and Daisy.  He was the fourth youngest of the nine children. He had three half-sisters named Joanna, Katherine and Mary.  He died at the age of 11 on November 13th, 1898.
