Katherine was born in 1861 in Ireland.  Katherine's father was Bartholomew Lane and her mother was Mary Katherine Enright.  Her paternal grandparents were Daniel Lane and Mary Hendrick. She had two sisters named Joanna and Mary.  She was the second oldest of the three children. She had six half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Bartholomew, Ed, James, Willie, Peter, Michael, Margaret, Rosa and Daisy.  She died at the age of 28 on February 5th, 1889 in Dennison, Grayson, TX.
