Robert was born on February 15th, 1881 in Gonzales TX.  Robert's father was William Thomas Ivey and his mother was Sarah Ellen Davis (Ivey).  His paternal grandparents were Reuben Ivey and Elizabeth  Hudson (Ivey). He had four brothers and four sisters, named James, Augustus, Andrew, William, Sally, Mary, Milly and Martha.  He was the fourth youngest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 71 on April 10th, 1952 in San Antonio, Bexar TX.
