Philip was born on March 3rd, 1891 in Gonzales TX.  Philip's father was George Washington Ivey and his mother was Jennie Victoria Brady (Ivey).  His paternal grandparents were Jason William Ivey and JoAnna Jamima Miller. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Jason, Ples, Alvie, Benjamin, Alford, Molly Lee and Cynthia.  He was the second oldest of the eight children. He had a half-brother and five half-sisters, named John, Neomi, Annie, Molly, Lea and Lou.  He died at the age of 74 on April 2nd, 1965 in Bell Co TX.
