Nola was born in 1878.  Nola's father was Henry F Ivey and her mother was Cynthia P Creason.  Her paternal grandparents were Jacob Ivey and Caroline Bush (Ivey). She had eight brothers and three sisters, named William, Thomas, John, Leonard, Seaborn, Ell, Charlie, Carvey, Rachel, Lena and Jane.  She was the fifth oldest of the twelve children.  She died at the age of 35 in 1913.
