Louiza, known as Lou, was born in 1878.  Lou's father was George Washington Ivey and her mother was Nancy Pink Davis (Ivey).  Her paternal grandparents were Jason William Ivey and JoAnna Jamima Miller. She had a brother and four sisters, named John, Neomi, Annie, Molly and Lea.  She was the second youngest of the six children. She had six half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Philip, Jason, Ples, Alvie, Benjamin, Alford, Molly Lee and Cynthia.  She died at the age of 88 in 1966.
