Jason was born in 1830 in Georgia.  Jason's father was Reuben Ivey and his mother was Elizabeth  Hudson (Ivey).  His paternal grandparents were Unknown Ivey and Edith Rhodes; his maternal grandfather is Thomas Hudson. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Jacob, William, Julia, Sarah, Alsey and Martha.  He died at the age of 35 on October 26th, 1865 in TX.
