Henry was born in 1854 in Carroll Co MS.  Henry's father was Jacob Ivey and his mother was Caroline Bush (Ivey).  His paternal grandparents were Reuben Ivey and Elizabeth  Hudson (Ivey). He had a brother and two sisters, named Jacob, Mary and Rachel.  He was the second oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 56 in 1910 in Smiley TX.
