George was born on March 23rd, 1851 in Carol Georgia.  George's father was Jason William Ivey and his mother was JoAnna Jamima Miller.  His paternal grandparents were Reuben Ivey and Elizabeth  Hudson (Ivey). He had three brothers and a sister, named James, Benjamin, John  and Alcey.  He was the third oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 82 on February 24th, 1934 in Bell Co TX.
