Flossie was born in 1915.  Flossie's father was Jacob Ivey Jr and her mother was Minnie Bell Phillips (Ivey).  Her paternal grandparents were Jacob Ivey and Caroline Bush (Ivey). She had a brother and four sisters, named Ezra, Elise, Jakie, Annie and Abby.  She was the third oldest of the six children. She had four half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Marian, Maldy, John, Van, Cynthia and Arney.  She died at the age of 68 in 1983.
