Ezra was born on September 18th, 1907 in Gonzales TX.  Ezra's father was Jacob Ivey Jr and his mother was Minnie Bell Phillips (Ivey).  His paternal grandparents were Jacob Ivey and Caroline Bush (Ivey). He had five sisters named Elise, Flossie, Jakie, Annie and Abby.  He was the oldest of the six children. He had four half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Marian, Maldy, John, Van, Cynthia and Arney.  He died at the age of 81 on May 6th, 1989 in Guadalupe Co TX.
