Augustus was born on March 9th, 1876 in Leesville TX.  Augustus' father was William Thomas Ivey and his mother was Sarah Ellen Davis (Ivey).  His paternal grandparents were Reuben Ivey and Elizabeth  Hudson (Ivey). He had four brothers and four sisters, named James, Robert, Andrew, William, Sally, Mary, Milly and Martha.  He was the fourth oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 37 in 1913 in Gonzales Co TX.
